Entry Level Environmental Scientist/Engineer

The Scientist/Engineer works under moderate supervision to perform specific technical assignments with clear objectives on a number of projects; shows a consistent ability to limit the firm’s (and its client’s) exposure to liabilities by following standard operating procedures and established health & safety protocols; and consistently exercises attention to detail, discretion and judgement.  This position involves significant time in the field collecting environmental data

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Studies, Environmental Science, or Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution (or 5-years of relevant experience).
    • Valid Driver’s License.
    • OSHA Hazardous Materials Worker Training (a plus).

Project Level Environmental Scientist/Engineer

The Project Scientist/Engineer must be capable of managing all aspects of projects with multiple phases or tasks, multiple contractors, and multi-disciplinary project teams under moderate supervision; preparing high quality reports and proposals, identifying new business opportunities for the firm; showing a consistent ability to limit the firm’s (and its client’s) exposure to liabilities by following standard operating procedures, established health & safety protocols, and regulatory requirements; and consistently exercising discretion and judgement.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Studies, Environmental Science, or Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution.
    • At least five years of relevant experience (Advanced degree desirable and may count toward one year of experience).
    • Valid Driver’s License.
    • OSHA Hazardous Materials Worker Training.
    • Registration/certification (e.g., EIT, PE or as a geologist, risk assessor, etc. at state or national level a plus).

Senior Level Environmental Scientist/Engineer

The Senior Scientist/Engineer must be capable of managing multiple, complex projects at a time; be recognized as a leader in a specific field of related expertise (e.g. Groundwater Monitoring, Computer Modeling, Remedial Design, Vapor Intrusion, Clean Air Act, Hazardous Waste Management); maintain at least one key client account, play an important role in the development of other staff, develop new work for the firm; prepare high quality reports and proposal with minimal supervision or review; show a consistent ability to limit the firm’s (and its client’s) exposure to liabilities by following standard operating procedures, established health & safety protocols, and regulatory requirements; and consistently exercise discretion and judgement.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Studies, Environmental Science, or Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution (or fifteen years of relevant experience).
    • Eight to ten years of relevant experience (Advanced degree desirable and may count toward one year of experience).
    • Valid Driver’s License.
    • OSHA Hazardous Materials Worker Training.
    • Developed and proven expertise including additional training, in a defined area such as groundwater modeling, bioremediation, groundwater treatment, remedial design, USTs, field methods, and data validation.
    • Registration/certification (e.g., EIT, PE or as a geologist, risk assessor, etc. at state or national level).
    • Strong relationships with clients a plus
