Due Diligence and Brownfield Redevelopment

Cox-Colvin offers a wide range of due diligence and brownfield redevelopment services. These services identify and address potential environmental liabilities associated with property transactions and redevelopment.

Due Diligence and Brownfield Redevelopment

To avoid or mitigate liabilities, environmental site assessment must be performed during commercial/industrial real estate transactions and brownfield redevelopment. At Cox-Colvin, we specialize in large, complex properties with long histories. Often, these facilities have known or probable environmental issues and are subject to use restrictions and environmental permitting. We use our broad understanding of federal, and state regulatory requirements to assist industrial and other clients who own, manage, and redevelop these facilities.

Many have been vacant or underutilized for decades, perhaps with occasional limited assessment that ended when a path to redevelopment was not immediately apparent. The redevelopment of these brownfields is challenging and necessitates out-of-the-box thinking, but the rewards are significant. We offer a complete line of brownfield services from preliminary evaluation and identification of funding (grant) options through site investigation and remediation/closure.
